Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre
The SunTrust Broadway in Orlando series presents national
tours of Broadway shows.
Since the venue shares parking space with a nearby sports
arena, get there early to make sure you can find parking space. The season
began early with "Starlight Express," which ended its run Sept. 7.
Series tickets cost $135 to $440. Single ticket prices,
including those for the special engagement of "Phantom of the Opera,"
are on sale now.

Central Florida Theatre Alliance
An advocacy group for Orlando area theaters, this organization
sponsors an annual theater trade show, unified auditions and workshops
for cultural organizations and actors.
The alliance has two online newsletters - "This Week Live,"
free to the public, and the "Monday Memo," which has information regarding
theater auditions and jobs and goes to CFTA members only.

Eyes & Ears Productions
Performing at the 900-seat Plaza Theatre - new on the
Orlando theater scene - this company strives to present family-friendly

Henegar Center for the Arts
This venue is a popular one with community groups. It
has proven itself as a successful producer of community musical theater.
The Henegar has become the home of the popular improv
troupe Not Quite Right.

house.

Orlando International Fringe Festival
This annual event is one of the highlights of Orlando's
theater scene.
The 10-day festival draws professional and amateur performers
from all over the world performing in odd venues throughout the city.
Ticket prices vary.
Patrons must buy a "button" that allows them to then buy
tickets to individual shows.
Prices have yet to be announced, but the festival is planned

Orlando Theatre Project
The professional theater company in residence at Seminole

Orlando-UCF Shakespeare Festival
This well-established professional theater company is
arguably one of Central Florida's best. It presents a wealth of opportunities
for the theater lover and produces full-scale Shakespearean plays as well
as contemporary comedies and dramas with an edge.
The newest addition to its roster is the Orlando Festival
of New Plays. The OSF performs in the Lowndes Shakespeare Center's two
theaters - the 350-seat thrust style Margeson Theater and the 120-seat
Goldman Theater. The festival presents one outdoor production at the Walt
Disney Amphitheater at Lake Eola.
Season tickets are $45 to $135. Single tickets are $10

actors and directors for its shows. The theater also hosts Riverside 2,
a series of riveting dramas in an intimate setting.
There is also an active children's theater company and

This theater offers improvisational and scripted comedy

Workshop
Brevard County's first organization devoted to producing
original work by local playwrights, this group produces three shows, each

A community theater in the heart of Florida's famed Space

Titusville Playhouse
This is a comfortable community theater with plenty of
leg room and a full bar in the lobby.
In addition to a full mainstage series, its TPI Kids program
presents a Rising Stars series of children's shows. Occasionally, more
offbeat productions are at the Emma's Attic space, with productions to
be announced. Its first show of the season, "Wynn Fairly, Champeen Rassler,"
finished its run Aug. 3.
