Abandon (PG-13) Review
Katie is under pressure. She faces exams, completion of her thesis, and a competitive interview process, all of which is compounded when a police detective, Wade Handler, begins investigating the two year-old disappearance of her boyfriend, Embry Langan, a young man whose memory haunts and obsesses her. As the investigation continues, Katie is forced to choose between past passions and new possibilities, even as Handler is discovering surprising new facts about Embry and his possible connection to another disappearance from campus. About Schmidt (R) Review
Warren Schmidt is a retired insurance salesman, who at age 66, has no particular plans other than to drive around in the motor home his wife insisted they buy. He's not altogether bitter, but not happy either, as everything his wife does annoys him, and he disaproves of the man his daughter is about to marry. When his wife suddenly dies, he sets out to postpone the imminent marriage of his daughter to a man he doesn't like, while coping with discoveries about his late wife and himself in the process. Jack Nicholson, Kathy Bates, Dermot Mulroney, and Hope Davis star for director Alexander Payne.

Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights (PG-13) Review
Davey Stone is a young man who hates the holidays and is determined that no one else in the town of Dukesberry is going to enjoy them either. Sentenced to ten years in prison, it is only through the intercession of a kindly old codger named Whitey that Davey is spared. When Davey's mobile home burns down, he is forced to move in with Whitey and his kvetchy sister, Eleanor. The familial atmosphere softens Davey, until they tap into his painful past. It is only by confronting the ghosts of holidays past, and an act of selfless kindness, that Davey is able to overcome his demons and enjoy the holidays again. Adam Sandler voices multiple roles in this animated film directed by Seth Kearsley.

Adaptation (R) Review
Charlie Kaufman is a confused L.A. screenwriter overwhelmed by feelings of inadequacy, sexual frustration, self-loathing, and by the screenwriting ambitions of his freeloading twin brother Donald. While struggling to adapt The Orchid Thief by Susan Orlean, Kaufman's life spins from pathetic to bizarre. The lives of Kaufman, Orlean, and John Laroch--the orchid poacher and the subject of Orlean's book--become strangely intertwined as as each one's search for passion collides with the other's. Nicholas Cage, Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper star for director Spike Jonze.

After the Sunset (PG-13) Review
Max Burdett and his accomplice Lola have come to Paradise Island in the Bahamas, fresh off their final big score in which they lifted the second of the three famous Napoleon diamonds. The couple is ready to relax and enjoy their hard-earned riches. But Stan, the FBI agent who has spent years in dogged pursuit of Max, refuses to believe that his nemesis is actually calling it quits. He thinks that Max and Lola are actually plotting to steal the third Napoleon diamond, which is coincidentally scheduled to arrive on Paradise Island as part of a touring cruise ship exhibition. When the longtime adversaries meet up in paradise, Max quickly turns the tables and befriends the detective, showing him that Paradise Island has no shortage of pleasures to offer. Against the Ropes (PG-13) Review
A biopic inspired by true events in the life of renowned boxing manager Jackie Kallen, a middle-aged Jewish mother from Michigan, who guided the careers of several, hi-profile, professional boxers, including four world champions such as: middleweight champ James Lights Out Toney, as well as Bronco McKart, and Thomas Hearns. The drama focuses on her relationship with one boxer, in particular, Luther Shaw, a light-heavyweight contender from the inner-city, whose life and career Kallen helped to turn around; and likewise, Kallen's life and career came into focus due to Shaw and his influence on her growth. Meg Ryan, Omar Epps and Tony Shaloub star. Charles S. Dutton co-stars and directs.

Agent Cody Banks (PG) Review
Cody Banks is a typical teen--he loves to skateboard, hates math, and feels like a complete idiot around girls. But Cody's got a secret--he's actually part of a secret teen CIA program. Cody's living every boy's dream life--he can drive like a stuntman, has an incredible arsenal of cool gadgets, and his agency mentor, Ronica Miles, is totally hot. But Cody's training is put to the test when he's sent to pose as a prep school student and befriend fellow teen Natalie Connors in order to gain access to her father--a scientist unknowingly developing a fleet of deadly nanobots for the evil organization ERIS. Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London (PG) Review
A rogue CIA agent has stolen a top secret mind-control device and Cody has to go undercover in London to get it back. Posing as a student at an elite boarding school to get close to his suspects, Cody has to keep the other kids from discovering his true identity while infiltrating covert hideouts, spying on his sinister target--and going to class. With all-new gadgets, high-flying action, exciting chases, and a wisecracking new handler, Derek, Cody has to retrieve the device before the world's leaders fall under the evil control of a diabolical villain. The Alamo (PG-13) Review
The roads cross at San Antonio de Bexar at a small, ruined mission called The Alamo. In the spring of 1836 nearly 200 Texans--men of all races who believed in the future of Texas--held the fort for thirteen days under siege by General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, ruler of Mexico and commander of its forces. Led by three men--the young, brash Colonel William Travis; the violent, passionate James Bowie; and the larger-than-life living legend Davy Crockett--the Texans and their deeds at the Alamo would pass into history as General Sam Houston's rallying cry for Texas independence. Alex & Emma (PG-13) Review
Alex Sheldon is an author whose writer's block is the least of his problems--he also happens to be broke and owes loan sharks $100,000. The thugs give Alex an ultimatum: pay up in 30 days or wind up dead. The only way Alex is going to get that kind of money is by finishing his novel, which is currently less than one sentence long. Lacking both inspiration and a laptop, Alex secures the services of stenographer Emma Dinsmore to help him complete the novel. Emma challenges his ideas at every turn, and her initially irritating but intriguing input begins to influence Alex and his story. Soon, real life begins to imitate art--and art, to imitate life. Alien: The Director's Cut (R) Review
A ship sent to investigate an SOS distress call encounters an alien that begins to kill the crew members one by one. Ridley Scott's sci-fi/horror classic is reissued in this new "Director's Cut," starring Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, Ian Holm, Yaphet Kotto, John Hurt, and Veronica Cartwright.

Alien vs. Predator (R) Not Reviewed
Billionaire industrialist Charles Bishop Weyland gathers an international team of archaeologists, scientists and security experts to investigate a mysterious “heat bloom” emanating from deep under Antarctica. They discover a pyramid bearing a mixture of Aztec, Egyptian and Cambodian cultures. Inside the pyramid, they find a matrix of chambers so technologically advanced that it becomes obvious that an extraterrestrial influence has been at work there for thousandsof years. The chamber walls reconfigure, trapping members of the team and cutting them off from their colleagues. Moving from chamber to chamber, the horrific truth finally reveals itself: Predators have been keeping alive a captive Alien Queen who lays eggs at 100 year intervals. Young Predator warriors are tested by fighting the Alien offspring. The team stumbles into the middle of an incredible rite of passage-– and a war between Aliens and Predators.

A bounty hunter and a con man team up to find missing diamonds in this lame, derivative comedy action thriller that's neither funny nor thrilling. Starring Ice Cube and Mike Epps. Directed by Kevin Bray.

American Wedding (R) Review
With Great East Falls High now just a memory, the kids have grown into adults ready to wreak havoc with a new rite of passage: Jim and Michelle are getting married--in a hurry. Jim's grandmother is sick and wants to see Jim walk down the aisle, so they're going for it in two frantic weeks. Stifler plans to be there (for the bridesmaids!) and, more importantly, to throw the ultimate bachelor party (for the strippers!). Finch is all for the hedonistic rituals, but not for letting Stifler steal the maid of honor, who happens to be Michelle's sexy younger sister, Cadence. But while everybody else sweats and frets, Jim's Dad is cool as ever, dispensing advice that no one wants to hear and getting ready for one of the best days of his life. Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (PG-13) Review
A scientific expedition is assembled by a powerful pharmaceutical company to search for a rare black orchid in the deep recesses of the jungles of Borneo. Their hope is that the orchid can be used to unlock the secrets of youth and immortality. What they soon discover is that the orchid is already being used by a denizen host of giant snakes to augment their strength, size and vitality--not to mention their appetites. Analyze That (R) Review
Mob boss Paul Vitti is nearing the end of his term in Sing Sing, and the FBI agents monitoring him are baffled. Day after day they watch as New York's most notorious gangland figure walks around his cell in a semi–catatonic stupor, occasionally breaking into songs from "West Side Story." His former psychotherapist, Ben Sobel gets called in to consult on the case. In order to get peace back in his life he must help the troubled gangster sort out his psyche, find gainful employment and go straight--which proves easier said than done. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (PG-13) Review
Ron Burgundy is the top-rated anchorman in San Diego in the 1970s. When feminism marches into the newsroom in the form of ambitious newswoman Veronica Corningstone, Ron is willing to play along at first--as long as Veronica stays in her place, covering cat fashion shows, cooking, and other female interests. But when Veronica refuses to settle for being eye candy and steps behind the news desk, it's more than a battle between two perfectly coiffed anchor-persons--it's war. And Now... Ladies and Gentlemen (PG-13) Review
Valentin is a criminal mastermind, but his exploits don't prove much in the way of satisfaction. Meanwhile, in Morocco, a burned-out jazz singer named Jane is trying to forget a fizzled love affair. And so begins the journey of these two lost soles who are destined to cross paths. Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera (PG-13) Review
Based on the hit musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the tale tells the story of a disfigured musical genius who haunts the catacombs beneath the Paris Opera, waging a reign of terror over its occupants. When he falls fatally in love with the lovely Christine, the Phantom devotes himself to creating a new star for the Opera--exerting a strange sense of control over the young soprano as he nurtures her extraordinary talents. Anger Management (PG-13) Review
After a misunderstanding aboard an airplane that escalates out of control, the mild-mannered Dave Buznik is ordered to attend anger management sessions run by Doctor Buddy Rydell. Buddy moves in with Dave to help him battle his inner demons. Buddy himself has no inner demons since he acts out at every opportunity and that includes goading Dave into confronting every slight, past or present, head-on. But Buddy finally goes too far and Dave must decide whether to crawl back into his shell or stand up for himself. Adam Sandler, Jack Nicholson and Marissa Tomei star for director Peter Segal.

Antwone Fisher (PG-13) Review
Based on a true story, Antwone Fisher was a sailor prone to violent outbursts. On the verge of being kicked out of the Navy for repeated fighting, he is sent to a naval psychiatrist for help. Refusing at first to open up, the young man eventually breaks down and reveals a horrific childhood rife with abuse. With the help of a Navy psychiatrist, he turns his life around and decides to embark on a search to find the family that abandoned him as a baby. Through the guidance of his doctor, he confronts his painful past and begins a quest to find the family he never knew. Denzel Washington makes his directoral debut, and co-stars with Derek Luke and Joy Bryant.

Anything Else (R) Review
Jerry Falk is an aspiring writer in New York, who falls in love at first sight with a free-spirited young woman named Amanda. Jerry has heard the phrase that life is like anything else, but he soon finds that life with the unpredictable Amanda isn’t like anything else at all. Woody Allen directs and co-stars alongside Jason Biggs, Christina Ricci, Danny DeVito and Stockard Channing.

Are We There Yet? (PG) Review
Nick, a smooth operator, is trying to land a date with a young, attractive divorcee, Suzanne. Problem is, Suzanne is stuck working in Vancouver and miserable because she misses her kids. Seizing the opportunity, Nick gallantly offers to make her wish come true--and his own in the process--by bringing seven-year-old Kevin and eleven-year-old Lindsey up from Portland, Oregon to be reunited with their mom. What Nick doesn’t know is that Suzanne's children think that no man is good enough for their mom and will do everything they can to make the trip a nightmare for him. Around the World in 80 Days (PG) Review

Assault on Precinct 13 (R) Review
Precinct 13, one of Detroit's oldest precinct houses, is closing. Only a few lawmen remain on duty for New Year's Eve. They are headed by Sergeant Jake Roenick. Deep in the city, crime lord Marion Bishop is cornered by an undercover cop. Their ensuing struggle leaves the cop dead--and Bishop captured. Bishop is handcuffed and herded onto a prison bus with several criminals. But a snowstorm strands the bus at Precinct 13, where the prisoners are temporarily incarcerated. Two masked gunmen break in and attack the guards. The gunmen are just barely beaten back, and everyone inside Precinct 13 realizes that more will come, armed and ready to shoot anyone and everyone. The cops, looking to the reluctant Roenick for leadership, and the cons, looking to the steely Bishop for an angle, must join forces to live. Ethan Hawke, Laurence Fishburne, John Leguizamo, Maria Bello, Ja Rule, Drea de Matteo, Brian Dennehy and Gabriel Byrne stare for director Jean-Francois Richet.

Austin Powers in Goldmember (PG-13) Review
Teaming up with the mysterious yet peculiar Goldmember, Dr. Evil hatches a time-traveling scheme to take over the world--one that involves the kidnapping of Nigel Powers, Austin's beloved father and England's most renowned spy. As he chases the villains through time, Austin visits 1975 and joins forces with his old flame, the streetwise and stylish detective Foxxy Cleopatra. Together Austin and Foxxy must find a way to save Nigel and stop Dr. Evil and Goldmember from their mischievous mayhem.

Auto Focus (R) Review
Based on true story, a glimpse into the colorful life, and mysterious death, of actor Bob Crane. Handsome and charming, Crane became well known as the star of CBS' hit comedy "Hogan's Heroes" (1965-1971). Capitalizing on his fame, Crane dove into the freewheeling spirit of the times with relish, having affairs with numerous women. Crane fell into the seamy world of sex, strip clubs, and decadance. Eventually, Crane teamed up with video technician John Carpenter to document his exploits, an association that may very well have led to his murder in a Scottsdale, Arizona motel room in 1978, where his skull was crushed with a camera tripod. Greg Kinnear and Willem Dafoe star for director Paul Schrader.

The Aviator (PG-13) Review
A biographical chronicle which charts the early years of famous tycoon, Howard Hughes (1905-1976), whose ecclectic career spanned across everything from oil, for which he cared little, to film, casinos, and aviation--as he turned millions of dollars into billions. Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Jude Law, Kate Beckinsale, Alan Alda, Alec Baldwin and Gwen Stefani star for director Martin Scorsese.

Bad Boys II (R) Review
Miami narcotics detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett become part of a high-tech task force assigned to stem the flood of ecstasy into Miami. They uncover a deadly conspiracy involving a drug lord who is determined to expand his empire and take control of the city’s narcotics trade, killing anyone who stands in his way. To make matters worse, Marcus’ beautiful sister Syd, an undercover DEA agent, gets caught in the crossfire, forcing our heroes to the edge of the law. The assignment takes on further complications when romantic sparks start to fly between Mike and Syd, driving her overly protective brother completely around the bend. Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and Gabrielle Union star for director Michael Bay.

Bad Santa (R) Review
It's the height of the festive holiday season and merry shoppers have begun their yearly pilgrimages to their local malls. Among the drove is a pair of con men, on a decadent road trip, posing as Santa and his trusty elf. Rather than spreading good cheer, the duo's motive is to rob each shopping establishment along the way. Their savvy strategy, however, becomes complicated when they encounter a precocious 8-year-old who ends up teaching them the true meaning of Christmas. Billy Bob Thornton, Bernie Mac, Tony Cox, Lauren Graham and John Ritter star for director Terry Zwigoff.

Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever (R) Review
Haunted by the mysterious death of his wife, reclusive former FBI manhunter Jeremiah Ecks is blackmailed back into service to track down an unstoppable ex-DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) operative, code-named Sever. The illusive female operative has kidnapped the young son of the head of a secret committee of international security agencies--and Jeremiah is the most qualified to find her. The Banger Sisters (PG-13) Review
Two groupies, who were best friends during their wild rock 'n roll days, reunite decades later. One (Goldie Hawn) is now a "punked-out-waitress" nostalgic of days gone by, while the other (Susan Sarandon) is a socialite who would rather hide the past. Bob Doleman directs.

Barbershop (PG-13) Review
In this ensemble comedy, a $50,000 reward for information about a recent heist sends a barbershop on Chicago's South Side into a spin, as the barbers try to figure out clues to the crime by the haircuts they give. Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer, Eve and Keith David star for director Tim Story.

Barbershop 2: Back in Business (PG-13) Review
They’re still cutting hair and cutting up in Calvin’s shop on the South Side of Chicago. Calvin has gotten over his money troubles and is no longer in danger of losing his shop--but his neighborhood is in danger of losing its identity. Intent on “regentrifying” the South Side, a money-hungry corporation is moving into the community with coffee bars, video stores, and a big-name haircut chain, and the area’s “mom and pop” establishments are in danger of losing their hometown advantage. While juggling changing situations, new loves, and looking for ways to better their lives, Calvin and his crew have to take a stand to keep the South Side and its businesses in the family. Basic (PG-13) Review

Before Sunset (R) Review

Cold Creek Manor (R) Review

An inside view of the post-Seinfeld life of Jerry Seinfeld. Neither a concert film, nor a biographical documentary, the film examines the birth of a comedy act and offers a window into the details of backstage life and the challenge of making people laugh. Seinfeld is revealed in ways no one has seen before: struggling with difficult material; confronting self-doubt; accepting the help of friends and colleagues, simply as another comedian trying to put together an act. On stage, Seinfeld talks about marriage, recalls his time as the country’s most eligible bachelor and offers new perspectives on the observations of the every day. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (PG) Review
